to invent, make or fabricate, out of what is conveniently on hand.

And that’s what I've been doing with Headwear.  I hunt for vintage and or new stock patches and professionally sew them on the best quality blank hats that I can find.

Sourced in the USA and sewn in my Seattle Workshop.

Being my last name is Hood I’ve always joked about one day having a hat company of some sort.  In 2015 I found myself sitting on a beach sewing a patch that I found at a flea market on one of my hats.  I was just looking for something different at the time.  That’s when and where Improvise Headwear was born.

I’ve now been concentrating on sourcing the best quality blank hats that I can get while digging for awesome vintage patches to put on them.  This is an ever evolving endeavor that is very exciting and fun for me to pursue.
